Alpen Muffin Recipe

Alpen Muffins

Add a hint of muesli to your muffins with this deliciously different take on a baking classic.


  • 210g wholewheat flour
  • 100g Alpen original muesli
  • 85g cup lightly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 225g mashed bananas
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 225g unsweetened yogurt
  • 56ml butter, melted
  • 88g raisins, soaked


  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees celcius. Line muffin pan with paper cups.
  2. Whisk flour together with Alpen original museli, sugar, baking powder and baking soda in a large bowl.
  3. In another bowl, combine eggs, yogurt, butter and bananas until well blended. Add this mixture to dry ingredients.
  4. Stir until just combined. Do not over mix. Add raisins.
  5. Spoon batter into muffin pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Cool to room temperature on a wire rack before serving.
